QuickBooks for Mac has more feature parity with the Windows versions, at least in the last four years, but you will need to subscribe to their web-based payroll solution if you need that feature. It is $14.99, and I don't think you even have to have the old version. FYI, Quicken did release a PAID update to Quicken 2007 so you can use it on Macs under Lion:
